found in PC0947's reviews: This contractor is very pleased... with the compressor - I own several portable compressors, but hate to lug them around. On bigger jobs I still use one of my heavy duty compressors. compressor try's hard but comes up a bit short - In my case it was the 1/4" copper tubing which brings the air to the tank that failed. I have fixed it with some liquid steel, since I'm on a job with it, I'm hoping the repair lasts till I have time to replace to tubing. I have used this to build two large bookcase and cabinet projects so far, and in doing so I have learned the compressors limitations. This won't take the place of more powerful compressors, but it is great for carrying to and from a job. Very Satisfied - I live in an apartment, and I agree with others who have found the noise level lower than other compressors, a blessing in that environment.
Not having any experience with air tools, yet knowing it was the way to go to install casing and baseboard in my kitchen remodel, I agonized over whether to get a brad or finish nailer.

At just a foot high and less than two feet wide out of the carton, this compressor was quite a bit smaller than we expected, so to be fair, we quickly lowered our expectations. Emglos half-century in the compressor business is evident in this model, and with a couple of small exceptions (well get into that in a minute), we dont think anyone could make a finer piece of air power.) It has air aplenty for two nailers at once, and with that fast recovery, the job will get done in no time. Heres to a great pairing of two great toolmakers. The package comes with the initial fill of DeWalt synthetic air compressor oil. Comes with the initial fill of DeWalt's synthetic air compressor oil.
found in D55155's reviews: MOTION PICTURE IA - The only thing I can say is EMGLO! I have been using Emglo compressors for over 15 years years now in the Motion Picture Industry and on the outside and I never would settle for less. I must say I prejudged and thought well there goes the dependability and quality of Emglo's Compressors. dewalt has never let me down - its great!!never short on air supply, even when framing.as for noise, aircompressors make noise but this unit is not bad,its a lot nicer on the ears then my 30 gallon unit. the only thing that would make this unit more attractive would be wheels and a self-storing handle like porter cable offers on its single tank compressors, other then that i have no complants. A pleasure to own! -
The biggest complaint I have about other compressors is the portability of them. This helps to center the weight to my body and I can then lug the compressor up several flights of stairs without passing out.
The main reason I bought this unit over cheaper compressors was the recommendation to the brand names of DeWalt and Emglo. JUST WHAT I NEEDED - I HAVE HAD SEVERAL EMGLOW COMPRESSORS AND THIS HAS MET EVERY JOB I BOUGHT IT FOR. IF YOU NEED MORE AIR THEN I WOULD CONSIDER A 2 HP OR MORE SETUP. THAT MAKES THE CONTROLS FAIRLY WELL PROTECTED. roofer wayne - I used many compressors in 28 years of roofing. The only thing that was wrong with the first dewalt was the air regulator started leaking and had to be replaced. Other then that, it worked every day for two years so far, that with two or three roofing guns going which is like four framing guns and I did not notice it starving for air. Great !!! - After reading the reviews on Emglo compressors, I decided to get this DeWalt compressor because of the compact design. A nice small compressor - I bought this air compressor to do light construction work. It may cost a little more but you won't have to replace it like the other compressors. DeWalt takes a classic to a new level - Originally I figured the CH had a higher air output, needed no oil changes, would work on slopes and start in cold weather. 1) First of all the Emglo name on the unit reassured me that I was getting a tool built by the industry leader with a great reputation for tough, dependable compressors. The first day on the job proved it with quick cycling times and ample air at all times.
In short, this is a serious tool for the professional contractor with loads of power(delivered air), durability, great design and looks. My only complaint is the air release lever, an otherwise solid unit mounted on the underside of the tank. The opening is too narrow for your hand and the sharp stream of air can actually cut your skin.

found in C3151's reviews: Wow I am impressed - I have owned quite a few compressors thru the years. From a homeowner - The manual says 15 Amps, but its more like a hair above that. The copper one that pumps the air into the reservoir. I made the mistake of buying one of the pancake style compressors and found it a little weak for doing the basement framing.

found in MAC5200's reviews: POOR PERFORMER PERIOD! - I have been a carpenter for 15 years and have used alot of different compressors. Good specs for the price range - 8 amp draw, collapsible cart, oil lubed pump, good air filter and ball valve drain. Did not find many other compressors in this price range with those specs and did not want to pay $600+ for a monster.
On arrival the box had major rips and crushed areas fairly typical of my experiences of UPS shipment with heavy items.

found in EC12's reviews: A DECENT LIGHT DUTY UNIT - I've a professional woodworker for 20+ years and have owned several small compressors. The list price of $600+ is a joke but wouldn't be all that far out of line if it didn't come with the flaws in the controls that turn up eventually in all light duty compressors in the $200-$300 price range. Using a light duty unit like this to feed tools like air sanders or paint guns would fry even larger, inexpensive, medium duty compressors after a realtively short time. Happy, but could be happier - The compressor is still fairly new and seems to provide excellent power for framing guns, finishing nailers, and hoppers. However, I am not incredibly impressed with this compressors ability to start. I realize during the cold winter mornings (not too cold in the San Francisco bay area), that some compressors require an empty tank to kick over, but this is getting a little ridiculous. Good to go - It delivers plenty of air for nailers air wrenchs and filling tires. I wouldn't use it for painting but it was about the same price as the Coleman compressors. Good price and quality! - I did alot of checking on compressors and everyone really liked the hitachi. Excellent Value - Compact & NOT too noisy! - I initially bought one of those oil-less 'Pancake' type compressors. Hitachi's Dependable Compressor - The Hitachi is not only reliable, but, unlike many compressors, it truly works on 15 amps. Compressor great, regulator bad - It has a quality oil lubricated motor and is competitively priced with "oil-less" compressors of similar size and capacity. It works great with my various small air tools (palm nailer, impact wrench, etc). Excellent Compressor - I have looked at quite a few compressors and 95% of them have something hanging out waiting to be sheared off if impacted. I think it would be fairly simple for them to tuck the regulator assembly between the tank and pump to avoid possible damage but few manufacturers do so I didn't take any stars away for that.

found in C3551's reviews: Outstanding compressor - After using and wearing out several other compressors over the years, I have learned a thing or two about quality. While I use a couple of the DeWalt compressors in my business and am pleased, this PC is my new baby. The Porter-Cable C3551 is a very nice compressor - I have a few compressors already - but they are too big and bulky to move around and my previous smaller 10 gallon compressor is getting a bit rough around the edges. It fills quick, cycles infrequently, and is fairly quiet.
I think this is one of the best small compressors out there. Good idea, but a bit more durabilty would be nice - I bought it because I was tired of lugging around other compressors that didn't have wheels. The rolling design of this compressor is very good because it can easily go up and down stairs as well as over typical construction site obstacles.
I work on job sites that have ancient compressors that continue to function flawlessly (but they're really heavy to move around), so I'm a bit worried by the problems I've noticed in only 2 years of use. It also cannot supply as much air as the oil-free version. A trim subcontractor I know has the oil-free version and he has to rebuild his compressor annually with a $40 repair kit, so oil free isn't entirely without issues. Everything it promises and more.......... - All I can say is there are a LOT of portable aircompressors out there and a lot of them are junk.

I had read that oil-lubed compressors were quieter and lasted longer, so I was looking for an oil-lubed motor in particular. I'm not sure what it is yet, but it doesn't seem to affect the operation of the unit, and I didn't want to send it back for repairs, since I have a bit of a deadline on some of my jobs. It seems fairly well made, and all the components are pretty easy to get to if repairs are needed for some reason. At the time I bought it, Amazon was running a very nice $75 off $300 promotion, and also offering a free air hose, so I feel that I got a great deal on a very good combo.
0 Extra-flexible 3' hose with universal locking adapter Pressure-tested tank holds compressed air for months Great for inflating car, truck and bike tires, sporting equipment and other recreational equipment in remote areas where a power source is not available
found in KT1100's description: 11 Gallon Air Carry Tank.
Product Description Airtight tank holds compressed air for months Models include: Air shut-off gage.
found in KT1100's reviews: Works as advertised - I've had one of these Campbell Hausfeld tanks for many years, to carry compressed air outside to work on lawn equipment.
Pros:
- For low air-volume applications, or when you need decent pressure for a short while, it works just fine. It's purpose is to have compressed air on a small job (or tire-filling), where there is no electricity.
Cons:
- After filling the tank (125 psi to 175 psi, depending on your air compressor), pressure will quickly drop below 80 psi once you start using it. So, this tank is only practical for air tool use of very short duration - e., an air ratchet wrench to remove a handful of bolts/nuts. Air tools just don't work [well] with insufficient pressure. In fact, with 11 gallons of pressurized air, this tank is only useful for small air-volume applications, regardless of pressure needed.
With no electricity nearby, options include: this tank, a long extension cord, or a long air hose. Otherwise, any air compressor would be a better choice, since air volume at pressure, will be unlimited. (Of course, the cheapest tank aircompressors cost around $100.
