I am currently growing and needed a larger compressor for the job site, as all I was using was a pancake compressor from porter cable, and it had a hard time keeping up with the heavier demands I was putting on it. I had looked at alot of compressors from emglo (dewalt) and others. I also looked at the specifications as I wanted a compresor that would have fast recovery, and high air presure for driving nails in older existing framing. The compressor had no assembly reqired, and was easy to remove from the box. This compressor is an animal. it will drive nails with my Porter Cable FR 350 into almost anything, and you can literally go non stop. The recovery is the fastest I have seen on any compressor out there. It is a litle loud, But we fixed that by moving the compressor to another room, and removing the regualtor panel and putting it into the work area. I wasn't sure I would use this feature, but it is great, as you have your air supply and regulator right where you are working. ( It's not light ) This compressor by far exceeds what I expected it to do. |

The only problem I had was to set the proper air pressure for the tools. This one is to be the one of the best air compressor on the market. WAY TO GO PORTER CABLE. Great product, check for needed accessories - My one complaint is that the manual is not very helpful for those of us who have not used air tools before. Luckily, I had bought the Porter- Cable accessory pack that had the needed couplers. It's like getting a toy without the batteries, if you do not have all the required atachments when the compressor arrives. |

I'd recommend this compressor and framing gun to any DIY person. My next purchase will be a Porter-Cable Finishing Gun to help with the remodeling and I'll definitely be purchasing it from Amazon. |

There's no way to tell it reconditioned except for the plain box it came in and an "R" stamped into some of the plastic parts. Quality control issue - I just received a reconditioned Porter Cable combo and was very disappointed. The regulator was clearly defective it blew air through the housing. |

Once repaired I must say that I have not had a problem with its operation. Average noise and vibration and my repairs have not rebroken. I Don't think that I would buy this one again and Porter Cable seems to be moving away from this shrouded design with its newest models. |
