Do It Yourselfer's Compressor - This is a compressor for the serious Do-It-Yourselfer. I ran the Porter Cable 350 framing nailer, Senco SFN40 finish nailer, and a Porter Cable brad nailer, and haven't had any problems yet.
makita mac2200 compressor - top notch tool, it's the best of any of the "small" compressors i have used. while it's not the lightest, or the quietest, it is by for the most powerful - i ran two framing guns off it (after i put a splitter on coupler) shooting 3 1/2" nails without any problems . i have owned several small , name brand compressors over the last ten years and this is the first one i have really been impressed with. but don't want a large compressor.

Quality Problems, Quality Problems - Let me say, it is my first air nailer and I love the concept. The compressor was missing hardware for one wheel preventing me from setting it up. The compressor also had a large number of scratches on its side like it had been slid across a floor. The instructions for the compressor are very poor.
Home User - bought unit for use around the house and haven't had any problems with it. compressor does a variety of jobs around the house from driving nails to inflating an air bed.

found in CFFN250A's reviews:
Excellent performance - The compressor and nailer have worked without problems.
More High Ratings - The compressor works very well and is remarkably air tight (held full charge for more than two weeks). I've also used the compressor with a framing nailer and it kept up with no problems.
excellent product - So far I have driven about 600 nails with no problems and I also use this to do small flooring jobs for other people.
Excellent Value and Quality - The compressor package truly makes it a great value. The compressor is very efficient, to the point that I was surprised it did not run more often. It is fairly quiet (as compressors go), and is light enough and is easy to carry and move around. They caused problems, such as jamming, 2 coming out at once, or not coming out at all.

A good compressor to get you started. - I shopped extensively for a light duty compressor based on the following criteria: price, weight, and flow rating. It features the same motor and compressor as the PC 3HP twin stack model but is $40 cheaper and about 10 pounds lighter.

Other than that what can I say - it pumps air. It is fairly loud, but I haven't listened to many other models to make an educated comparison.

*** One year+ update ***

I have now owned this unit for over one year and am pleased to report zero problems. I have used it quite a bit for high air flow operations, such as blowing off dust / debris and even running an air chisel to bust up concrete. It often runs full time for 5-10 minutes and is able to keep up with air demand. If you are going to be regularly moving the compressor around, spend the extra. I actually ran a compressed air line out to my garage, so the compressor can stay put in the basement and avoid potential damage from moving it.

*** 4-year update ***

I have owned this compressor for 4+ years now and am still completely satisfied. I used a hand held, air chisel to break up the mortar joints. The compressor was operating at 100% duty cycle for 10-15 minutes at a stretch, but couldn't quite keep up with continuous use of the air chisel. As an last ditch experiment, I bought a 10 gal portable air storage tank, some extra quick disconnect fittings and rigged up a reserve tank in parallel with the 4 gallon PC tank. (yes, I am an engineer) My thinking was that I would run the crap out of my little PC and if it bit the dust, that was my excuse to buy a new compressor. I am amazed to say the PC compressor ran flawlessly for the entire chimney demo and still works fine today.

Better than the pancake model - I've used the smaller Porter-Cable pancake compressor for about 2 years. I've had no problems with it using it 3 or 4 times a week for my wife's upholstery & drapery business (stapler and brad nailer). The only thing I don't think is an improvement is the knob for adjusting air pressure.

This time I installed the compressor with the air hose reel from Amazon mounted right beside it on the floor. If you get the reel, you'll probably need to make a trip to the local hardware store for an interconnecting piece to connect the reel to the compressor.
Great General Purpose Portable Compressor - I bought this compressor to run nail guns, air sand and spray paint. It is also handy to limit the pressure to safe levels for your various air tools.

I plug it directly into a 20 amp circuit and have had no problems with breakers popping. It is not as loud as large upright compressors, but it does make a fair amount of noise, although not as much as I expected. I use it with a Souix air sander and it does run longer when I am working. If you take on a tractor trailer, get a bigger compressor.

Great, most of the time. - I am a roofer and I am constantly running two roofing nailers off my compressor. This compressor is great for the fact that it can keep up with two proffesional roofers all day long. Emglo needs to come up with a better idea for the air filter, it's cheap plastic that breaks and comes off every time it is slightly bumped. I've had to replace the air filter on mine three times now. Other than that I run my compressor all day long with no major mechanical problems.

handy for small jobs - I have had zero problems with the combo in the four months since I have had them.
Dont Buy this!!! - Still this thing didnt help me @ all, in fact it managed to drain any available air i had in my tire out.
Problems::
1) Never built up enough pressure in tha tank to inflate tires
2) Couldnt even maintain airpressure, airpressure dropped dramatically when attempting to fill tires.
3) It actually aided in draining remaining air out of tires.
4) My car is really screwed now, since i only have 17lbs of air in 1 tire.
