Contractor quality machine - rated for continuous use. Lightweight and portable - only 26 lbs. Low 4 amp draw - will operate anywhere Will operate any (1) finish gun or brad nailer The quietest finish/trim compressor on the market
found in T-617HDN's description:From the Manufacturer
The super quiet (60 decibel) T-617HDN is the hands down favorite for those that want a quiet running, long life compressor capable of handling any (1) finish gun or brad nailer. Additional uses include, airbrushing, inflating tires, air mattresses, sports equipment, and winterizing RV's and motor homes.
found in T-617HDN's reviews: When Quality & Quiet Matter More Than Price & Power - I researched compressors carefully around town and on the Web. Compressors available at the Borg and various local tool shops are gawdawful loud, heavy, and look to be made of cheap plastic and pot metal. The compressor will be carried around and used indoors. The unit is light enough to carry around easily, and its shape rides comfortably beside your walking legs (unlike pancakecompressors).
The compressor only puts out about 1 CFM and has a 2 gallon tank.
You will not be happy with this compressor unless your needs and preferences are similar to mine. It really doesn't put out or hold much air. No durability experience since I haven't had the compressor for long.

found in CPFC2TV3525VP's reviews: GREAT FOR A WON MAN SHOP - I PURCHASED THIS COMPRESSOR ABOUT TO WEEKS AGO AND HAVE USED IT A LOT IN MY ONE MAN WOODWORKING, IT WORKS MY AIR TOOLS LIKE A DREAM. IT REPLACED,A SMALL PANCAKE COMPRESSER THAT I WAS USEING TO RUN MY NAIL GUNS I WOOD RECOMMEND THIS COMPRESSOR TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS A COMPRESSOR THAT WILL GIVE YOU ALOT OF BANG FOR YOU BUCK. Quiet, portable and powerful - I shopped around for weeks before I decided on this compressor. I wanted a compressor for home that I could run an impact on or a DA sander but I also wanted something portable that I could run a nailer on. I had planned to buy two compressors but this compressor will do both. We all know that pancake and especially stacked tank portables are great but they are also noisy, relativley expensive for a good one and really ought to have wheels in addition to the handle, because carrying one is a joke. This compressor is surprisingly quiet and is quite powerful. The two stage allows it to provide the power of a compressor twice it's capacity and uses twice the horsepower.) So if you're buying one for home or stationary use that will be run a lot, look at buying a 2-stage 240 volt compressor, it will save you money when the electric bill comes. Recovery time is what you should look for and don't expect any compressor to keep quiet for long when you're running a continuous tool like a sander. Something to consider if you're serious about buying this compressor is look at the CPFC2TV3520WK, it's the same compressor with a 20 gallon horizontal tank but it has a four port remote regulator which might be of use or interest to you. I'll post again in the future once I've used the compressor more and know it a little better. I would recommend renting a compressor or borrowing one from someone who has it prior to making your decision if you haven't used them enough to know what you want from one.
Includes 1 year limited warranty on parts and accessories Two pole, 3450 RPM capacitor start induction motor for maximum air delivery 150 PSI tank pressure for longer run time, 90 dBA, 120V / 60 hertz/ 1 phase Oil-free pump design for durability and maintenance 3.5 HP (peak) 1.6 HP (running) 4.5 gallon single tank aircompressor
found in C3150's reviews: It's a worker - I bought this compressor a few days ago for my small remodeling company.
I am currently growing and needed a larger compressor for the job site, as all I was using was a pancakecompressor from porter cable, and it had a hard time keeping up with the heavier demands I was putting on it.
I had looked at alot of compressors from emglo (dewalt) and others. I also looked at the specifications as I wanted a compresor that would have fast recovery, and high air presure for driving nails in older existing framing. The compressor had no assembly reqired, and was easy to remove from the box. This compressor is an animal. The recovery is the fastest I have seen on any compressor out there. It is a litle loud, But we fixed that by moving the compressor to another room, and removing the regualtor panel and putting it into the work area. I wasn't sure I would use this feature, but it is great, as you have your air supply and regulator right where you are working. ( It's not light )
This compressor by far exceeds what I expected it to do.
One-Year Warranty/30-Day Performance Certification Oil-free compressor can operate on slopes without risk of leaks Rugged, top load magazine for easy reloading Depth-of-drive adjustment to match nail depth to the application Quick release nosepiece for easy clearing of jams
found in CFFN250A's reviews: Should have bought this combo pack years ago! - The compressor is a bit noisy so if you're in a small space you will want to invest in some earplugs otherwise it's tolerable for a basic 2hp pancakecompressor. Great Package - The pancakecompressor powers all my nailers to drive 16d's at 120 psi all the way down to 3/4" brads at 30 psi. The compressor is easy to move which makes the upstairs finish work much easier. Even having to buy a new hose or repair the existing one, the combo package is a great buy. Best Tool I Own Hands Down! - I plan on replacing all of the crown molding utilizing my Porter Cable Finish Nailer and PancakeCompressor combo and my DeWalt 12" Combo miter Saw.
1 year limited warranty Complete kit with quick-connects, 25' 300 psi air hose, thread sealing tape, nailer case, and wrenches Oil-free compressor produces 3.7 scfm at 40 psi and 2.7 scfm at 90 psi Nailer features cushion grip, depth of drive, piston catch, quick-release nosepiece, and directional exhaust Professional nailer shoots 3/4" to 2-1/2" 16 gauge finish nails
found in CFFN250S's reviews: A nice tidy package! - I guess to keep the price low, Porter-Cable outfitted this kit with their 135 psi pancakecompressor, rather than their 150 psi compressor which is sold with their 18 gage brad nailer kit.
The positives of the kit are;
1) The 17 piece accessory kit with the pistol grip blower, 2) The gun has a balanced and quality feel, 3) Easy to load gun, 4) Easy to clear jammed nails, 5) Shorter and more streamlined design of gun, 6) Enough power to countersink a 2-1/2" nail into red oak, 7) Portable and reasonably light-weight compressor, 8) Very good sight line of nailing surface, 9) Value purchase.
The negatives of this kit are;
1) Noisy compressor, 2) Gun does not warn user when it runs out of nails, 3) Should have provided 2-1/2" nails, rather than the 2" nails, 4) Compressor's auto on/off lever can dislodge from the switch assembly when the lever is pushed/pulled at the wrong angle, 5) Must order the free black coloured trigger separately, 6) The gun will at the odd time spall the MDF moulding surface at the nail's point of entry (which means more caulking).
One Year Warranty Convenient control panel has regulator, gauge, and two quick connect outlets Higher tank pressure provides more usable air per tank re-charge New high-pressure design keeps tank pressure between 110 and 135 PSI 3 HP induction motor delivers 7.7 SCFM at 40 PSI, 5.5 SCFM at 90 PSI
found in CPF23400S's reviews: Exceeds My Expectations - I had a Porter Cable pancakecompressor and was happy with it for around the house projects and use. It was stolen (smart thief) and I replaced it with this compressor. This compressor is also quieter than the pancakecompressor I had. Better than the pancake model - I've used the smaller Porter-Cable pancakecompressor for about 2 years. The only thing I don't think is an improvement is the knob for adjusting air pressure.
This time I installed the compressor with the air hose reel from Amazon mounted right beside it on the floor. If you get the reel, you'll probably need to make a trip to the local hardware store for an interconnecting piece to connect the reel to the compressor. I now use the pancake style as the portable one (I agree, this one's too heavy). Great for various air tools - Just for little bit more of money, it is much better equipment than a pancake version.
Size of the tank is fine, but its really about the horsepower of the motor and amount of air motor can put out so that you don't have long period of motor running in order to build a pressure in the tank.
