I have had several brands of oil bath compressors. With routine checking oil and air intake filter your set for work. I try to pull the oil pan off and clean the crankcase out once a year and refill with synthetic oil. By taking the pan off you can wipe out the aluminum dust that settles in the oil. It will not drain out with the oil if you just pull the plug. This is a heavy duty unit that will give you years of service! I do not recomend any oil free models they are very noisy and breakdown more often. You may save a few bucks with oil free models and if you get one buy some ear plugs and keep your savings for the replacement model when it dies?.
