At just a foot high and less than two feet wide out of the carton, this compressor was quite a bit smaller than we expected, so to be fair, we quickly lowered our expectations. The joke was on us, though, because this little powerhouse just doesnt quit, and we learned that you cant judge a compressor by its size. Emglos half-century in the compressor business is evident in this model, and with a couple of small exceptions (well get into that in a minute), we dont think anyone could make a finer piece of air power. Now, this may be a plus or a minus in your book, but we liked the fact that the compressor is factory set to power on at 100 psi an+d shut off at 120 psi, and the cycle time was under 15 seconds.) It has air aplenty for two nailers at once, and with that fast recovery, the job will get done in no time.
In balance, this is one of the best compressors weve seen for the size, power, ruggedness and incredible portability it offers. Heres to a great pairing of two great toolmakers.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

2 HP, 4 Gallon, Electric Single Tank Hand Carry Compressor, 4.
found in D55155's reviews: Other tools - A lot of folks are rating this unit against nailguns. However, I use it primarily with other air tools including an impact wrench. I was a little worried about the 4 gallon reserve tank handling my impact wrench air volume which is the most common tool I use for odd jobs. Very Nice Unit - I had a Porter Cable pancake compressor and yes it did roll around in the back of my truck and had a real hard time maintaining pressure when under extreme load such as running my texture gun. I can run my texture gun and it keeps up just fine. I mostly use it for my nailguns and I like the fact that it has two hose connections. It is a fairly hefty unit but it does carry nice due to it's shape. Solid Performer. - I am a general contractor who needed a better compressor to do small framing jobs and finish jobs on site. It will run my Senco 41XP finish nailer with very few cycles and never fails to set a nail. When using it with my framing gun you just need to not be too agressive with your shots but it will push you plenty fast. We have used it for roofing and it does need nelp with two guns, but will run one no problem. Mine was a reconditioned unit and I have never experienced any problems and I use it, the larger tank does need to be drained regularly though, overall good compressor. Good Purchase - This is my first compressor purchase.00 ) for this unit, but you have to also purchase a DeWalt nailgun.00 for the compressor purchase? I qualify for the rebate but not so keen on their guns, hence no $$$ back. DeWalt takes a classic to a new level - Last yearI spent many months researching a replacement for my ailing Campbell-Hausfeld oilless compressor. Originally I figured the CH had a higher air output, needed no oil changes, would work on slopes and start in cold weather. After forking over the big bucks and putting it to work for DeWalt's 30 Day trial period I couldn't believe I'd gone so long without this compressor. 1) First of all the Emglo name on the unit reassured me that I was getting a tool built by the industry leader with a great reputation for tough, dependable compressors. The first day on the job proved it with quick cycling times and ample air at all times. I do a lot of work in luxury high rises and I've often left the compressor at home rather than drag it down endless corridors. It can carry the whole unit with hoses and nailguns. I've paid for the compressor already in labor savings by bringing it to every trim job. I've had othe craftsmen come over and ogle the compressor and ask questions about it, but mostly admiring it.
In short, this is a serious tool for the professional contractor with loads of power(delivered air), durability, great design and looks. My only complaint is the air release lever, an otherwise solid unit mounted on the underside of the tank. The opening is too narrow for your hand and the sharp stream of air can actually cut your skin. In addition the compressor shoots out small chunks of ICE from the tank creating dangerous projectiles that will cut your hand or riccochet into your eye. Finally, I have a compressor that won't roll around in the back of the truck knocking off gauges and connections as I drive through the city.

Porter-Cables solved the compressor mobility problem on two levels with this tool. First, and most impressively, its got a two-port removable console for remote air regulation and higher air pressure right where youre working. And the compressor itself has wheels and an extension handle, making life easier on you.
Lets face it: This compressors big, heavy and loud, with a max psi of 150. You can run three or four guns at once off it with a splitter and have no air supply problems whatsoever.5 gallon, oil-free contractor style compressor is packed with features. The high-flow air regulator and two-port removable console are winning combinations for contractors. Having the ability to remove the console gives the user the opportunity to remote air regulation and gain higher air pressure closer to the job site. Air delivery at 40 PSI: 7.

found in C3151's reviews: you'll love it - You will find the removeable console a real plus and the drive unit keeps up quite well with a framer and a coil nailer running side by side. We run 2 roofing guns and again no problems. I will say 4 stars not 5 only because of this; if you try to nail when the unit first kicks in you end up with a short drive in heavy framing. I have not noticed this on the coil gun but We do notice it on the framing nailer. very good compressor - Michelles husband John using her account) I`ve had this compressor for about a year now. (manual recomends not using extension cords whenever possible) I`ve run every kind of nailgun imaginable on it, frequently more than one at a time, sometimes three or four at a time with a splitter and had no problems. I would definitly buy this compressor again.

Whether you need a compressor for woodworking, painting, caulking or construction, this 5-gallon Makita is a great choice, primarily because of its impressive 6-1/2 cfm at 90 psi on a 13. Built-in Storage Compartment - Conveniently stores air fittings & accessories. Air Hose Wrap - Stores 50 of 3/8" Air Hose with handle folded or upright. Large automotive style industrial air filter for increased air intake and greater efficiency.
found in MAC5200's reviews: This is a good machine - The compressor is awesome. I also used a cheapo cutting wheel with it, and it actually had enough capacity to do a larger cut, and kept going pretty well when the compressor kicked on.
I certainly didn't really need this much power, and probably could have made do with one of the Porter Cable combo specials, but I don't like to bring a knife to a gunfight. I'm going to be doing some deck work soon, and I wanted something that would drive a framing nailer without flinching.
Long life, contractor quality machine - rated for continuous use Low amp draw - works on 15 amp circuits and with extension cords Versatile - offers framing, roofing or finish gun capability 3/4 Horsepower - delivers 1.7 cfm at 100 psi. Lightweight and portable, only 26 pounds

Thomas Industries T-635HD is a quiet running (69-decibel) 3/4 HP compressor that is both portable and versatile.7 cfm at 100 psi, it has plenty of power to support a framing gun when doing studwork, a roofing gun when shingling, or (2) finish guns at the same time. Other uses include, tire inflating, painting, airbrushing, small air tools, and winterizing water lines and RV's.
found in T-635HD's reviews: Compressors/Thomas T-635HD - Light weight, dependable; and quiet! This is what I was looking for in a compressor.and this is why I specifically went looking for Thomas Compressors.Since then I have been waiting for my Emglo to get retired so I too can be a proud owner of a Thomas T-635HD
One thing that I did not like when my Thomas T-635HD arrived was a real lack of directions to assemble the few parts that did need to be put on before operation, but anyone with common knowlege of compressors will figure it out.
This compressor is not intended for HIGH-PRODUCTION ie. nail-off on sheeting, production framing or sand-blasting. if you are in the market for a compressor that is small, light;and dependabley quiet. Your search has ended here !
Don't get fooled by tool packs that come with nailgun, air-hose and compressor in one deal you will be looking for a new compressor soon.

found in EC12's reviews: A real turd - I bought one two years ago, and I'd driven less than 250 nails with it before it failed to work properly, so that's about a buck per nail - a great value. Now I'm sure I'll be raped at the repair center as I spend >$100 to repair this $200 turd. Save your money and pound the friggin' nails in with a hammer.

found in C3551's reviews: 1 man carpenter - I received the compressor from amazon with no defects. I use a paslode framing nailer for my side work. I do like the extra pressure to drive the nails in hard lumber. I run the compressor at 115 psi for the pasolode. The compressor does need time to build pressure to keep up with my 1 gun for nailing plywood. The compressor does have a quick recovery 10 to 15 seconds to cutoff so I'm able to nail with short breaks. For every other aspect of framing this compressor is a 5 star. I do nail very quick closer to 70-80 nails a minute on plywood. And I know that the compressor rated at 4.4 cfm's at 90psi would only be able to nail 53 nails a minute with the paslode framing nailer. The compressor is rated properly. The compressor does run quieter than the oiless compressor I did have. I am very happy with the compressor and can live with the short breaks during the nailing of plywood. Was pleased the second time - I have not used satelite regulator option, I suppose if you were 500' from compressor it might be handy. Have used framing nailgun with 140' 1/4" hose and thats about its limit. It rolls! - Powerful motor and compressor. Have used it to run two nailguns at the same time without excessive run time. way to go porter cable BEST MACHINE ON THE MARKET - this my 2nd aircompressor matter fact I was building a arbor for the back yard after pressure was reached for nailgun I work over 1 hour before the compressor recycled the only problem I have had is to set the pressure on the nailgun after about 2 tries it worked perfect. I really like the idea on the removeable gauge face the compressor stay in 1 spot and 50 to 100 feet you can attact the face to a fixed object so you can save on trips back to the compressor when you need another nailgun as in replaceing the framer to finishing gun .

Product Description
Portable, electric powered compressor with 3 HP, high output, heavy-duty induction motor.
found in CWC200ST's reviews: Compressor head is OK but the extra parts are of low quality - I bought one of these compressors a couple of months ago after doing carefull research and actually going to a repair facility here in AZ that handles warranty repairs for a variety of brands. So I bought one to use with a Bostitch nailgun and stapler while restoring my parents house. I estimate that the compressor has about 15 (fifteen) hours of use by now. You will have to tilt the compressor down and rock it side to side to get the water out, furthermore when tilted the lower drain hits the floor impedig drainage so you actually have to lift this rather heavy machine and tilt it and rockit at the same time in order to drain. Shortly after purchasing the unit one of the Quick Disconnects on the compressor will not seal itself after the hose is taken off and will merily leak all the air out in about one minute, I had to replace that so I could use the machine. For about the last five hours of use I started to notice that if left pressurized overnight the air was gone in the morning upon closer inspection I could hear a faint hiss comming from somewhere behind the regulator It was not much just enough to leak and turn the machine on about every 15 minutes even if I did not use air. Yesterday the manual regulator prooved to be the culprit as when I started the compressor for the first time it would not hold air at all. I put my head next to it to listen for the noise of air escaping and sure enough there was a faint hisssss. While I was trying to figure out where the noise is caming from The back of the manual regulator popped loose again suddenly letting all the air escape in an instant startling me and prompting my wife to ask from the kitchen some ways away: "did you do that on purpose?" Well NO. Overall the tech was right the actuall compressor is well done I believe he said it was Italian made the rest is rather sloppy and not thought out well.

Ideal for inflation, nailing, stapling and spraying jobs, this compressor also powers everything from sandblasters and spray guns to drills and die grinders in a matter of seconds.
