found in CPACK200's reviews: Horrible directions for a novice, but good equipment - I'm new to pneumatic equipment and was really disappointed by the lousy directions in this kit. I'd imagine that many people buying this kit are new to air tools (since they need to buy a compressor too). The compressor directions were worse, probably because they were roughly translated from italian. (I can't believe I was actually considering predrilling and hammering finish nails by hand for my project!)
I wasn't really happy with the depth control on the nailer since there's no indicator (at least the compressor has a pressure guage). I do wish the compressor was quieter, or started up slower (it scared the hell out of me when the pump automatically refilled the tank, even through my earplugs). A Bostitch satisfied customer - Part of my selection came from learnerd advise from a world class cabinetmaker, who has been in the trade for over 40 Years. I needed a compressor and the combo packs offered the best value for the money. That combo was my choice, and after using them for several Months now, I am very satisfied with both the nailer and compressor. Between these three tools and compressor, my projects can all be accomplished with ease.
One-Year Warranty/30-Day Performance Certification Oil-free compressor can operate on slopes without risk of leaks Rugged, top load magazine for easy reloading Depth-of-drive adjustment to match nail depth to the application Quick release nosepiece for easy clearing of jams
found in CFFN250A's reviews: Absolutely Fabulous... - I cannot tell you how many projects I have completed or are swimming in my mind now that I own this nailer and compressor kit. The compressor is so easy to carry around and holds enough capacity so that I can carry it into closets or other small spaces without having to worry if electrical outlets are nearby. It takes mine less than a minute to refill if I use all the compressed air. This was my first time to use a pneumatic nailer. Outfitted with an air chuck, I can keep all the motor vehicle tires filed without running to the gas station, and by purchasing a nozzle, I can keep all my other tools free of sawdust.
One Year Warranty Supports use of all brad and finish nailers and moderate use of framing and roofing nailers High-flow regulator allows more work at higher pressures 3 hp induction motor for quieter operation High-pressure technology provides more usable air for longer run time
found in CPF23400P's reviews: Maybe a good compressor, but beware of shipping - I ordered my P-C 3HP/4GAL compressor from Amazon, and their tool supplier, Tool Crib, shipped the unit to me via UPS. When I unpacked the compressor there was a broken piece of plastic in the bottom of the box.
I took the compressor to the local Porter-Cable service center and they tell me the boxes the P-C compressors come in are NOT designed to handle the rigorous treatment of UPS shipping. The compressor is very heavy and the support inside the box is just flimsy cardboard, so the unit will shift alot during UPS shipment. I'm just wondering what other parts may have been damaged in the shipping. Won't know until the replacement part comes in and we can turn the unit on.
Be advised about this shipping problem with this compressor.
Comes complete with gun and hopper, compressor, electric motor, 50' of air hose, 25' power cord, 2-wheel dolly and instructions Two interchangeable air stem nozzles to double the range of patterns and spray pressure Cool running, 1 HP capacitor-start electric motor drives a rotary vane compressor that produces up to 30 psi when used with 3/32" air nozzle
found in GB13300's reviews: Goldblatt Trowel Trade Tools GB13300 Pattern Pistol with Compressor - Once I opened the box, I was dismayed to find a bag of parts requiring assembly. One part, the oil reservoir was completely broken. I immediately sent the unit out for repair. Fortunately, the repairman was able to use parts from an old non-working unit to fix the new unit so it is operational.
One-year warranty Rugged cast-iron cylinder Performs at above average working pressures Delivers 3.6 cfm at 125 psi Powerful 2 hp electric motor
found in AM780-HC4V's reviews: Great But ... - I have several compressors, but since this is light and runs on 15 am circuits it is the preference for small volume needs such as small nail guns, tires and especially jobs where transporting the compressor is required. Example, a framer and helper will easily outrun the production capability of the compressor with one gun. On a hot day with poor air circulation the motor start capacitor blew. Since this was the only issue with the tool I decided it made sense to repair. My standard motor repair shop wouldn't touch it. The Emglo repair center wanted an exhorbitant amount for the capacitor ($$). The time I spent calling around and shopping for the replacement part far exceeded the value of simply replacing the compressor unit.
Starts easily under low voltage conditions Built-in thermal overload protection for added safety Dynamically balanced counterweight crankshaft design for reduced vibration Durable cast aluminum components for lighter weight and faster heat dissipation Designed especially for finish work
found in MAC500's reviews: Caution - First of all this is a light-weight, cost effective compressor.
I recommend buying a different compressor. The part that broke off was not the large motor section but the small separate connector section containing the pressure dials.
One Year Warranty Convenient control panel has regulator, gauge, and two quick connect outlets Higher tank pressure provides more usable air per tank re-charge New high-pressure design keeps tank pressure between 110 and 135 PSI 3 HP induction motor delivers 7.7 SCFM at 40 PSI, 5.5 SCFM at 90 PSI
found in CPF23400S's reviews: Don't let the handle fool you. - I bought it to replace a 1 1/2 horse 2 gallon compressor because it's twice as powerful. I know now why most compressors this size have wheels. I wanted an aircompressor that could inflate tractor tires and power air tools. I recommed this to any one looking for an good aircompressor that stays for the most part in one place. This Portable Compressor is Rugged and Well Built ! - Surprised and impressed! I looked at Home Depot and Lowes and decided to order this aircompressor to save the Tax and the trouble of bring it home. The best part is that I didn't have to stuff this big box in the back of my car to bring it home.
Looking at the other brands of portable compressors I really like how well this one is built. Don't know yet - I spoke with the owner of the company, Kim Allen, and he said that I would need to have it repaired under the warranty. After several calls to the toll-free number in the manual to the factory, I was put in touch with a repair facility an hour away and was told they don't stock the part but could order it and get it back to me in a few days. Hopefully, PC will come though without me spending four round trip hours and a week without a compressor. Frustrated with the technical assistance - I received my compressor and unpack it. I went there with the compressor and they took it and said to leave it there for one day, and on the next day they should call me to pick it up. Ohhh! Come on!!! I can't believe that! The most common and cheap part of a compressor they don't have in stock!? Is that kind of technical assistance we have from Porter Cable when we just buy a brand new compressor and need it working??? I think I should send it back and bought another from another company, because, now, I'm just waiting and I can't do my job.
One year warranty/30 day performance certification 8.3 scfm at 40 psi, 6.1 scfm at 90 psi Two gallon tanks provide four gallons of air supply Oil-free design-no spillage or work contamination 15 amp, 2 hp induction motor starts and runs on household current
found in CF2400's reviews: Porter-Cable CF2400 - Excellent compressor overall with more than ample air flow and capacity to power any pneumatic framing nailer, finish nailer or medium crown stapler. Great value - I compared the specs on a number of compressors before I chose this one. That was over a year ago, and I have subjected this compressor to heavy use pushing paint. I use a HVLP unit that have done some modest jobs and this compressor keeps up. I also have many pneumatic nailers and this unit will even keep up with a framing unit.
