This Porter-Cable 2-horsepower, 6-gallon pancake compressor transports easily but has plenty of capacity and power--enough to support heavy use of brad and finish nailers and moderate use of framing nailers. Features include a high-flow regulator, an easy-to-read air pressure gauge, automatic thermal overload protection, an industrial-style quick-connect body in the air outlet, and a long-life motor with replaceable brushes. The compressor weighs 32 pounds and has a handle built into the motor housing, so it's relatively portable. This Porter-Cable is as convenient and easy to use as any compressor out there, and it's just about ideal for brad and finish nailers that are being used inside people's homes on a regular basis. --Jonathon Tudor

found in CPFAC2600P's reviews: PorterCablecompressor - I have had no problems with the compressor. I do not hesitate to give a five-star review . portercablecompressor - I purchased the 6 gallon pancake compressor in OCT 03, did not use it until Jan 04, used for (2) months,it is extremely noisy, heats up, stops working after 15-29 minutes of use. PorterCable CPFAC2600P Compressor - Pro: Great little compressor for mobile and small shop use. I use it very often to run air nailers for doing molding on the house and back out to the garage to run a paint/finish sprayer. Little compressor is full of hot air - I've owned this compressor for about 1 year. I spoke to the PorterCable rep at the Columbus wood show last month. bad compressor - I purchased a combo pack, 1 month after the warranty ran out the compressor stopped working, I took it to a locate service center , which stated motor barins where gone and it would be $240 to replace, it was cheaper to buy a new one. When I emailed portercable , it took a long time for a response , by then i had bought a new ( different make)compressor. Solid little compressor, won't pop your breakers - I previously owned the PorterCable 135psi, 3hp compressor but when I moved to my new house, with slightly low voltage, it was nearly impossible to use without popping breakers every time the beast fired up. power but not reliable - I bought this compressor for it's light weight, portability and compact power all of which it lived up to until it broke within 40 hours of use. After calling PorterCable they proved to be less than useful telling me that I would have to drive the unit an hour to get fixed under warrenty and were unsympathetic to my situation. FINALLY BOUGHT A COMPRESSOR - I ALWAYS WANTED A COMPRESSOR FOR MY OWN AND JUST RESENTLY I BORROWED MY NEIGHBORS COMPRESSOR TO FILL UP MY BOAT TRAILER TIRES WITH AIR. I LIKED THE PORTER-CABLECOMPRESSOR THAT I BORROWED SO MUCH THAT I WENT ON LINE LOOKING TO GET ONE FOR MYSELF. AFTER LOOKING ON LINE FOR THE BEST PRICE, I ORDERED THE COMPRESSOR THROUGH AMAZON. Great Little Unit - I bought my PorterCable pancake compressor over 3 years ago and it hasn't missed a beat. I love this litte work horse! - This Compressor is a great value,you will not find a better one for this price.I have used this compressor with a finish nailer and have had no down time at all.The brad gun alone sells for a 100 bucks! The combo pack has everything you need to start driving brads right out of the box,Thanks portercable for a great machine at an attractive price.Everyone can now afford to become an "airhead" Once you do you will never go back to a hammer again. Good compressor for a good price - I've owned a large compressor for years and needed something that can easily be ported anywhere - the large one is nice, but combersome for small jobs. Stick with the brand names like PorterCable - you get what you pay for.
This small compressor is actually used a lot more than my original compressor.
Spraying paint I haven't tried and probably would not work well - it just doesn't have the air delivery. That is what my large compressor is used for.
It is an oil-less compressor - so it is relatively noisy but noise means power, no? :) . not reliable - At first it lived up to PorterCable's reputation: worked great and was moderately priced.
The bundled packages they have now with this model (the compressor with a brad nailer and finish nailer) are very appealing price-wise, but don't be suckered as I and the many others above me have. Once pneumatic, you never go back - The Porter-Cable 2HP 6-gallon pancake compressor is a reasonably powerful and reasonably portable aircompressor. I only recently purchased one but I am already sold on pneumatic tools, which the PC 6-gallon compressor operates surprisingly well. Although many pneumatic tools, such as air hammers, drills, and sanders, consume quite a bit of air (generally in the neighborhood of 5 CFM at 90 PSI), I have found that my PC compressor does just fine with its modest 2. My one complaint is that the motor and compressor are a bit louder than I expected. Then again, the noise of the compressor is hardly noticeable above the din of an air hammer, so I'm not sure it really matters.
If you enjoy using power tools and you have not yet experienced the pleasures of pneumatic gizmos, you should consider purchasing a small but serious compressor like the PC 2HP 6-gallon pancake. It's truly amazing how versatile compressed air is; basically any tool that runs on electricity also comes in a pneumatic version (well, except for arc welders).
But be warned! If you take the plunge into pneumatic tools, there is an endless stream of items you will find yourself purchasing: air tool lubricants and cleaning kits, in-line oilers, air hoses and gauges, quick connectors, air filters, oil-water separators, Teflon tape, universal air hose joints, air manifolds, blowguns with assorted nozzles, etc.)
One odd thing I've noticed is that the PC 6-gallon compressor is virtually identical to the Craftsman 6-gallon compressor, right down to the paint job.
One-year warranty Provides 8.3 SCFM at 40 PSI and 5.8 SCFM at 90 PSI High-flow regulator for more efficient operation of pneumatic tools Tank pressure is maintained between 110 and 135 PSI for more usable air High-pressure technology provides the equivalent of a 32-gallon air supply
found in CPF6025VP's reviews: Last PorterCable Tool I Purchase - It is still under the warranty so I phoned PorterCable. So, I ended up driving to the nearest town today to buy a new compressor of a different brand. What do I expect you might ask? I expect them to let me take the brand new thing to any near by place that can fix it and have the bill sent to them! I have purchased a lot of PorterCable tools while building this house but that compressor was the last one!. Some problems, poor service policy, impressive specs -
Be warned, the PorterCable service policy as stated in the manual is essentially: Don't return a defective unit to the retailer. Call PorterCable to find the nearest service center. You pay the shipping(not cheap on a 130 pound compressor).

found in CPLDC2540P's reviews: Porter-Cable CPLDC2540P - This aircompressor is excellent in all respects. I use mine to run air nailers and fill small tires. This compressor is powerful but yet light enough to carry.
One Year Warranty Convenient control panel has regulator, gauge, and two quick connect outlets Higher tank pressure provides more usable air per tank re-charge New high-pressure design keeps tank pressure between 110 and 135 PSI 3 HP induction motor delivers 7.7 SCFM at 40 PSI, 5.5 SCFM at 90 PSI
found in CPF23400S's reviews: PorterCableCompressorReview - My compressor arrived about 7 days after I placed my order. Keep in mind that your compressor does'nt include a hose, fittings, or a filter which is a good idea to extend the life of your air tools and a must to spray paint, so these items must be purchased seperatly. It's not too loud, it can fill up fairly quick, and most of all it provided plenty of power for what I was using it for, even when using a 100 foot extension cord. I am happy with the performance of my PorterCable and would recommend it to anyone. Don't know yet - I spoke with the owner of the company, Kim Allen, and he said that I would need to have it repaired under the warranty. After several calls to the toll-free number in the manual to the factory, I was put in touch with a repair facility an hour away and was told they don't stock the part but could order it and get it back to me in a few days.
This whole situation did not sound like the legendary customer service PorterCable is known for. I contacted PorterCable customer service and was told there is no reason why Kimco should not replace the unit - in fact, the very helpful customer service rep even explained that PorterCable would pick up the return shipping costs.
I am now waiting for Kimco's PorterCable rep, Jim White, to return my call. Hopefully, PC will come though without me spending four round trip hours and a week without a compressor. Frustrated with the technical assistance - When I bought my CPF23400S, I did it because I saw some good comments about PorterCable equipments, and most important, they have a lot of places for technical assistance. I received my compressor and unpack it. So, I went to my computer and by internet, on PorterCable website, I found a authorized service center close to my house (Willie's Small Engine - Pompano Beach, FL). I went there with the compressor and they took it and said to leave it there for one day, and on the next day they should call me to pick it up. But, after 3 days, they still didn't have changed the little tank pressure gauge, and they said "we are waiting for PorterCable to send this piece to us, you have to wait until next week". Ohhh! Come on!!! I can't believe that! The most common and cheap part of a compressor they don't have in stock!? Is that kind of technical assistance we have from PorterCable when we just buy a brand new compressor and need it working??? I think I should send it back and bought another from another company, because, now, I'm just waiting and I can't do my job. A powerful ,compact compressor/reasonably priced!!! - I purchased this compressor for my crew of six men after I read the other reviews on the tool crib website. I am very impressed with the capabilities of this lightweight/powerful and relatively inexpensive compressor. As with all PorterCable tools it is well designed, strongly constructed and built to LAST !! I especially like the two built in quick connects and the power to run two framing nailers at once from a small and easily transportable package. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a powerful, compact and one man transportable compressor. Three cheers and a Hoopla to PorterCable on this one. What a great little compressor - This little compressor is a real gem. This task has not strained my Porter-Cable at all. Plenty of Power to Offer...but it needs plenty, too. - I tried the compressor on an undedicated 15 amp circuit, and it immediately blew the switch every time. I called PorterCable and they admitted this 3HP motor NEEDS A DICATED 15AMP CIRCUIT (with nothing else on the circuit to compete). I also learned (the hard way, of course) that if you are using the compressor with a 50' extension chord (with too high a guage) on a 20 amp circuit, the pump will not get enough electricity to pump air after cutting-in when the tank pressure drops to 110 psi (the specified cut-in pressure) - the pump will start pumping, but quickly stop and you'll hear the motor straining until it blows the 20 amp circuit, too. PorterCable told me that if I plan to use even a 20 amp circuit with an extension chord, I need to use a 12 (preferable 10) gauge extention chord (ideally 25' rather than 50'), or the pump won't get enough juice to cut-in properly and refill the tanks. It's cheaper, my new PorterCable friends say, to buy more air hose than the right gauge extention chord - Ah, such knowledge I'm gaining. Sadly, the compressor arrived with an air intake filter housing badly bent downward (done apparently at the factory, as the box from Amazon wasn't damaged), so I couldn't remove the air filter. AND, the drain valve (to drain water from the bottom of the tank) would not completely close allowing lots of air to excape from the tank. In my chats with an Amazon tool sales rep, and later with a PorterCable tech rep (to help me unravel the compressor's electrical-needs mysteries), both Companies quickly and nicely insisted on sending me a new air intake filter housing and a new drain valve (I guess I'm getting two of each?) - no questions asked. The machine is fairly loud, but it only takes my pump about 6 seconds to refill the tanks from the 110 psi cut-in pressure to the specified 135 psi cut-out pressure. I figure the noise level goes hand-in-hand with the added power this compressor offers - power I think I need. Suggestions: the manufacturer needs to tighten quality controls inspection of the product prior to boxing & shipping, and the editorial reviewers need to "call a spade a spade" in write-ups on this tool's power needs. portercablecompressor - This is a very good aircompressor. I run multi-equipment from my aircompressor every day. I will buy another portercablecompressor just like the one I have now but it still works like brand new so I dont see having to replace it in the near future. Exceeds My Expectations - I had a PorterCable pancake compressor and was happy with it for around the house projects and use. It was stolen (smart thief) and I replaced it with this compressor. This compressor is also quieter than the pancake compressor I had. Fantastic Compressor - I do crafts and wanted a compressor to replace my old one when it died. I was told by others that none of these smaller compressors would do that. It drove my PorterCable narrow crown stapler with long runs before having to build more pressure. No problem ! ! ! I could get most of the nuts off of one tire before the compressor would come on again. Perhaps this compressor wouldn't do for a mechanic, but for someone who changes their own tires, it does just fine. It is noisy, but I don't think any more so than any other compressor. Great little aircompressor - This aircompressor is great! This unit is fairly quiet, compact, light enough to be toted around if needed, no oil needed and very powerful. This unit replaced a 12 year old 15 gallons, 2 hp, craftsman rolling aircompressor and all I can say is that I wish I purchased this unit sooner. When comparing the 2 units the PorterCable is definitely stronger, the only difference being that when you are running any tools the compressor is running almost non stop compared to a unit with a larger tank that does not have to refill as fast. I consider this a plus though, because I always drain the tank after each use and it does not take as long to release all the air. At this price range there are many choices out there for anyone looking for a compact aircompressor but when you start to compare CFM ratings @ 90 PSI this one has the highest ratings. Better than the pancake model - I've used the smaller Porter-Cable pancake compressor for about 2 years. The only thing I don't think is an improvement is the knob for adjusting air pressure.
This time I installed the compressor with the air hose reel from Amazon mounted right beside it on the floor. If you get the reel, you'll probably need to make a trip to the local hardware store for an interconnecting piece to connect the reel to the compressor. Excellent compressor - quietest I've used in its category - I am never able to live without a good aircompressor. I use them for a variety of tasks from simple blowing to nailers and air hammers. As smaller aircompressors go, this one really delivers a nice, steady pressure for quite a long time.
Normally I like to blow through my air gun at about 50psi to clear sawdust. Blowing air at that pressure really drains a small compressor fast, but this one really handles it well and gives me quite a bit of extra time due to the fact that the motor really kicks in quickly and efficiently to keep the pressure up.
I couldn't outpace the compressor with a single nailer.
The two air ports is really nice in one this size because I can put the compressor underneath my workbench and mount a static line on my workbench for easy access anytime while leaving the other open for longer hoses. These size compressors can make an INCREDIBLE amount of noise, but the Porter-Cable 3hp 4 gallon side stack really keeps the noise level at a minimum.
One-Year Warranty/30-Day Performance Certification Oil-free compressor can operate on slopes without risk of leaks Rugged, top load magazine for easy reloading Depth-of-drive adjustment to match nail depth to the application Quick release nosepiece for easy clearing of jams
found in CFFN250A's reviews: PORTERCABLE NAILED THIS ONE - THE GUN HAS NEVER JAMMED, IT IS VERY EASY TO CONTROL THE DEPTH OF THE NAIL EITHER FROM THE ADJUSTMENT ON THE GUN OR THE REGULATOR ON THE COMPRESSOR. THE COMPRESSOR ALWAYS HAS SUFFICIENT AIR. IF THIS BOTHERS YOU GET A LONGER AIR HOSE AND KEEP THE UNIT OUTSIDE. THIS COMPRESSOR SHOULD FIRE A FRAMING NAILER AS WELL, BUT IT WILL RUN MORE OFTEN. PORTERCABLE HAS DONE IT AGAIN. This Combo will have your project nailed down !!! - It a great value and for those woodworkes who want a air nailer this combo should fit the bill. I sure there are those who may feel that an air nailer is just for those to lazy to nail by hand there not if you've ever made small boxes and tryed nailing them together you know it not and easy task. Porter-Cable has really out done shown thay are still the leader when it comes to great tools. Well done Porter-Cable. Best Tool I Own Hands Down! - This combo pack is ideal! I had never owned a PorterCable product until my father gave this to me as a Christmas gift. I plan on replacing all of the crown molding utilizing my PorterCable Finish Nailer and Pancake Compressor combo and my DeWalt 12" Combo miter Saw. Great Value - This was the first of what has become several PorterCable items that I have purchased. I have been very happy with the performance of both the nailer and the compressor. The compressor has performed exceptionally well not only for the finish nailer, but I have also used it for roofing nailers, brad nailer, narrow crown stapler, paint sprayers, drywall texture sprayer, etc. Phil Mescher from Ames, Iowa - I definately recommend this combo package to anyone wanting to start working with air nailers. Now I plan on buying a PorterCable framing nailer. Should have bought this combo pack years ago! - The compressor is a bit noisy so if you're in a small space you will want to invest in some earplugs otherwise it's tolerable for a basic 2hp pancake compressor. The nailer itself what else can one say it's a PorterCable light, adjustable and powerful! I am already looking at my next nailer the FC350 framing nailer!
Don't hesitate in making this a must have purchase for your shop!. Good buy not very portable with NO handle. - Both the compressor and the nailer work at least as well as advertised. The only place to grab is the plastic cover over the compressor pump, and that appears never to have been intended for use as a handle. Will contact PorterCable and see if there is an accessory or aftermarked handle abailable. Great Package - The pancake compressor powers all my nailers to drive 16d's at 120 psi all the way down to 3/4" brads at 30 psi. The compressor is easy to move which makes the upstairs finish work much easier. The finish nailer is a quality tool, its a Porter-Cable. Even having to buy a new hose or repair the existing one, the combo package is a great buy. Excellent Value and Quality - The compressor package truly makes it a great value. The compressor is very efficient, to the point that I was surprised it did not run more often. It is fairly quiet (as compressors go), and is light enough and is easy to carry and move around. Get Porter-Cable nails, which are of higher-quality and comparably priced. Excellent performance and value! I am impressed! - Lightweight compressor delivers all the power and performance you need for this finish nailer. Compressor has convenient hand slot on top for ease of lifting and transporting. Great value combo from Porter-Cable that delivers. Compressor is made in USA, nailer is made in Taiwan.

found in C3150's reviews: It's a worker - I bought this compressor a few days ago for my small remodeling company.
I am currently growing and needed a larger compressor for the job site, as all I was using was a pancake compressor from portercable, and it had a hard time keeping up with the heavier demands I was putting on it.
I had looked at alot of compressors from emglo (dewalt) and others. I also looked at the specifications as I wanted a compresor that would have fast recovery, and high air presure for driving nails in older existing framing. The compressor had no assembly reqired, and was easy to remove from the box. This compressor is an animal. it will drive nails with my PorterCable FR 350 into almost anything, and you can literally go non stop. The recovery is the fastest I have seen on any compressor out there. It is a litle loud, But we fixed that by moving the compressor to another room, and removing the regualtor panel and putting it into the work area. I wasn't sure I would use this feature, but it is great, as you have your air supply and regulator right where you are working. ( It's not light )
This compressor by far exceeds what I expected it to do.

found in C3550's reviews: best aircompressor on market for homeowner/contractor - I just couldn't believe it this compressor kept up w/2nailers and is real quite compared to the oil-less type, I would highly recommend this for the homeowner/contractor. The only problem I had was to set the proper air pressure for the tools. This one is to be the one of the best aircompressor on the market. WAY TO GO PORTERCABLE. Great product, check for needed accessories - My one complaint is that the manual is not very helpful for those of us who have not used air tools before. Luckily, I had bought the Porter- Cable accessory pack that had the needed couplers. It's like getting a toy without the batteries, if you do not have all the required atachments when the compressor arrives.
Cushioned handle grip, Standard Equipment: Compressor, High-FloSM air regulator and push to connect coupler and operating manual. Oil-Free Pump - No maintenance or spilled oil, Vertical tank configuration takes less floor space .9 (running) HP induction motor for long life, High-FloSM air regulator and push to connect coupler 150 PSI max for longer tool run time, 120 PSI cut-in pressure provides 30 PSI "Bonus Air" before a 90 PSI tool becomes inoperable 5.4 SCFM for faster tank recharge of 25 gal tank
found in C6110's description:From the Manufacturer
This oil free, space saving vertical, wheeled portable aircompressor from Porter-Cable provides 25 gallons of air tank reserve at a 150 PSI maximum pressure which provides 71 percent more usable air over traditional 125 PSI maximum air pressure units operating tools that require 90 PSI. With a pressure switch controller that automatically restarts the motor at the 120 PSI falling tank pressure point you get this quicker motor/pump operation and bonus air delivery. Supports all nailing applications and moderate + air tool usage of most air tools. High air flow regulator, high flow quick coupler two gages are also included. Reserve air tank is ASME approved.
1 year limited warranty Complete kit with quick-connects, 25' 300 psi air hose, thread sealing tape, nailer case, and wrenches Oil-free compressor produces 3.7 scfm at 40 psi and 2.7 scfm at 90 psi Nailer features cushion grip, depth of drive, piston catch, quick-release nosepiece, and directional exhaust Professional nailer shoots 3/4" to 2-1/2" 16 gauge finish nails
found in CFFN250S's reviews: A nice tidy package! - I'm glad I didn't buy the Porter-Cable 18 gage brad nailer kit from Home Depot. I guess to keep the price low, Porter-Cable outfitted this kit with their 135 psi pancake compressor, rather than their 150 psi compressor which is sold with their 18 gage brad nailer kit.
The positives of the kit are;
1) The 17 piece accessory kit with the pistol grip blower, 2) The gun has a balanced and quality feel, 3) Easy to load gun, 4) Easy to clear jammed nails, 5) Shorter and more streamlined design of gun, 6) Enough power to countersink a 2-1/2" nail into red oak, 7) Portable and reasonably light-weight compressor, 8) Very good sight line of nailing surface, 9) Value purchase.
The negatives of this kit are;
1) Noisy compressor, 2) Gun does not warn user when it runs out of nails, 3) Should have provided 2-1/2" nails, rather than the 2" nails, 4) Compressor's auto on/off lever can dislodge from the switch assembly when the lever is pushed/pulled at the wrong angle, 5) Must order the free black coloured trigger separately, 6) The gun will at the odd time spall the MDF moulding surface at the nail's point of entry (which means more caulking).
