found in CPACK200's reviews: Shipping seems to be a problem - I received my nailer/compressor combo today. I read the reviews on this tool before I ordered it, and several people reported shipping damage. The foot rest on the end of the compressor tank was bent. A very good package - This nailer has the best range and the compressor is more than adequate for the job, although the plastic housing over the motor was cracked-something my wife thought was to be addressed-but why bother in the scheme of things. Shipping was on time, Amazon.

found in EC16's reviews: Rama Timmons - I bought this compressor about 2 months ago and have had nothing but trouble with it. The Hitachi compressor I got first was broken in shipping and did not work so I sent it back. The next compressor arrived and it to was broken in shipping, but I decided to keep it since it was still working. Now that I have used it for over a month I've decided that my Ten Year old Compressor from Montgomery Ward believe it or not works much better. The Hitachi compressor takes forever to get up to pressure and if you are sheating a roof or a floor it will not keep up with even one nail gun. Even framing walls with only one nail gun the compressor can not keep up I have to go back with a hammer and finish driving 50% of all the nails. Do not buy this compressor unless the only thing you plan on doing is making bird houses with it!.
Low amp draw at 14.0 Lightweight and power-packed at just 40 lbs. Pump-up time 55 seconds, recovery time 85 seconds 2.5 hp, 2-gallon tank
found in PC2061's reviews: Very Nice little compressor - This is a great little compressor from Senco's discontinued line of Accuset tools .
I like this compressor because of its relatively light weight [39 pds. Most of the bits that would tend to get knocked off during loadind and moving are enclosed in the plastic shrouding around the motor , and the air chuck is sensibly and securly mounted on top so pulling by the air hose shouldn't break it off as has happened with other compressors I've owned . Keeping in mind that it is oil less [which means they use teflon coated rings in stead of an oil bath] I would say it falls in the middle or slightly below for a decible rating of compressors of this type . Only the Thomas industries line of compressors could truly be called quiet from what I've seen.
As for qaulity and performance , I had to replace 4 rooms of carpeting about 9 years ago due to a "leak free" oil bath compressor so I switched to these oiless types and have found them to be flawless and I've never looked back. Obviously you wouldn't run a large framing crew with it , then you'd have a gas powered compressor. It still uses a 3450 rpm motor to get the air output/low 14 amp draw . Other machines sometimes have 1750 rpm motors which are quieter but pump less air.
One Year Warranty Supports use of all brad and finish nailers and moderate use of framing and roofing nailers High-flow regulator allows more work at higher pressures 3 hp induction motor for quieter operation High-pressure technology provides more usable air for longer run time
found in CPF23400P's reviews: Great Little Air Squeezer!!! - This little Porter Cable compressor is all (and more) that I expected it to be. The output should be more than adequate for my needs to run an air ratchet, blow nozzle, hand sandblaster and pressurize a small auxilliary portable tank. Works like a champ, the price was right and Amazon's Free SuperSaver Shipping made this a no-brainer bargain. Maybe a good compressor, but beware of shipping - I ordered my P-C 3HP/4GAL compressor from Amazon, and their tool supplier, Tool Crib, shipped the unit to me via UPS. When I unpacked the compressor there was a broken piece of plastic in the bottom of the box.
I took the compressor to the local Porter-Cable service center and they tell me the boxes the P-C compressors come in are NOT designed to handle the rigorous treatment of UPS shipping. The compressor is very heavy and the support inside the box is just flimsy cardboard, so the unit will shift alot during UPS shipment. I'm just wondering what other parts may have been damaged in the shipping.
Be advised about this shipping problem with this compressor. Damaged Compressor due to defective design - My compressor arrived damaged due to the gauge assembly being bent during shipping resulting in the nipple to the tank splitting open. The compressor was unusable. After thinking about it for 30 seconds, I realized that this compressor can not stand up to any damage on the job and moreover may represent a situation where the gauge could unexpectedly blow out and kill/injure someone. good unit for the price - So far it has been trouble free. although i do take my large compressor i find the unit that usually comes out of the truck is this one.BUT IT'S A COMPRESSOR. if you have a need for a lightweight fairly high SCFM unit, this might fit the bill. A good compressor to get you started. - I shopped extensively for a light duty compressor based on the following criteria: price, weight, and flow rating. It features the same motor and compressor as the PC 3HP twin stack model but is $40 cheaper and about 10 pounds lighter. It is an oil free design, so it can operate on uneven ground.
Other than that what can I say - it pumps air. It is fairly loud, but I haven't listened to many other models to make an educated comparison. I have used it quite a bit for high air flow operations, such as blowing off dust / debris and even running an air chisel to bust up concrete. It often runs full time for 5-10 minutes and is able to keep up with air demand. If you are going to be regularly moving the compressor around, spend the extra. I actually ran a compressed air line out to my garage, so the compressor can stay put in the basement and avoid potential damage from moving it.
*** 4-year update ***
I have owned this compressor for 4+ years now and am still completely satisfied. I used a hand held, air chisel to break up the mortar joints. The compressor was operating at 100% duty cycle for 10-15 minutes at a stretch, but couldn't quite keep up with continuous use of the air chisel. As an last ditch experiment, I bought a 10 gal portable air storage tank, some extra quick disconnect fittings and rigged up a reserve tank in parallel with the 4 gallon PC tank. (yes, I am an engineer) My thinking was that I would run the crap out of my little PC and if it bit the dust, that was my excuse to buy a new compressor. I am amazed to say the PC compressor ran flawlessly for the entire chimney demo and still works fine today.

found in AM780-HC4V's reviews: CONTRACTOR COMPRESSER DREAM - DOWN TIME ZIP DAY IN AND OUT YEAR AFTER YEAR ENOUGH AIR TO RUN TWO FRAMERS AT A GOOD RATE OF PACE . THIS IS A TROUBLE FREE LIGHT WEIGHT COMPRESSER THAT WON'T HURT YOUR BACK HAULING IT IN AND OUT OF THE TRUCK DAY AFTER DAY FOR YEARS . Great But ... - I have several compressors, but since this is light and runs on 15 am circuits it is the preference for small volume needs such as small nail guns, tires and especially jobs where transporting the compressor is required. Example, a framer and helper will easily outrun the production capability of the compressor with one gun. On a hot day with poor air circulation the motor start capacitor blew. Since this was the only issue with the tool I decided it made sense to repair. My standard motor repair shop wouldn't touch it. The Emglo repair center wanted an exhorbitant amount for the capacitor ($$). The time I spent calling around and shopping for the replacement part far exceeded the value of simply replacing the compressor unit. The advantages of convenience, weight and maintenance free performance come at a price.

Exceeds My Expectations - I had a Porter Cable pancake compressor and was happy with it for around the house projects and use. It was stolen (smart thief) and I replaced it with this compressor. I ordered from Amazon, paid about $80 less than the local stores, paid no tax, shipping was free, and delivery was ahead of schedule and it arrived in perfect condition. This compressor is also quieter than the pancake compressor I had. First Impressions... - It only took 3-days for my new compressor to arrive at my doorstep! And best of all, the shipping was free! I immediately unpacked the unit and checked it over. Although I haven't used my compressor yet, first impressions are everything. This unit is compact, relatively light weight, fairly quiet, and fills up extremely quick! I can't wait to attach my air nailer and get to work!!!. This Portable Compressor is Rugged and Well Built ! - Surprised and impressed! I looked at Home Depot and Lowes and decided to order this aircompressor to save the Tax and the trouble of bring it home.
SHIPPING WAS FREE, THAT SEALED MY DECISION TO BUY.
Looking at the other brands of portable compressors I really like how well this one is built. Don't know yet - I spoke with the owner of the company, Kim Allen, and he said that I would need to have it repaired under the warranty. After several calls to the toll-free number in the manual to the factory, I was put in touch with a repair facility an hour away and was told they don't stock the part but could order it and get it back to me in a few days. I contacted Porter Cable customer service and was told there is no reason why Kimco should not replace the unit - in fact, the very helpful customer service rep even explained that Porter Cable would pick up the return shipping costs. Hopefully, PC will come though without me spending four round trip hours and a week without a compressor. Darn Good Little Compressor - Short and sweet - this compressor delivers on its promises - it is easy to use, easy to break-in, easy to maintain, and you can't beat the duel air hose inlets. I have found both of the built in pressure gauges to be accurate, and the oil-free motor is quieter than other compressors I have used (although it still makes a good bit of noise). To me, that's portable - I can understand how that would not be the case with everyone, but my experience leads me to believe that this compressor has a very good weight-to-horsepower-to-air storage capacity ratio. Heavy Duty versatility - First off I am a homeowner, not a contractor and have been using this compressor in my house to do renovation trim work for over two years. It is a fantastic compressor for my purposes. I run one in to my garage for airing my tires, and one in the shop for projects. When I move the compressor in to a room I am renovating, the two outlets also let me have two tools going at the same time, i. I will tell you it is LOUD but so are all compressors in this class, and this one is not as loud as my last old Campbell-Hausfeld. So if you are planning on moving your compressor around a lot, this is the WRONG compressor for you. But if you want a relatively stationary compressor with greater than ordinary capabilities, you may agree this is the ticket. It has run glitch free and recharge time is fast. Plenty of Power to Offer...but it needs plenty, too. - I tried the compressor on an undedicated 15 amp circuit, and it immediately blew the switch every time. I also learned (the hard way, of course) that if you are using the compressor with a 50' extension chord (with too high a guage) on a 20 amp circuit, the pump will not get enough electricity to pump air after cutting-in when the tank pressure drops to 110 psi (the specified cut-in pressure) - the pump will start pumping, but quickly stop and you'll hear the motor straining until it blows the 20 amp circuit, too. It's cheaper, my new Porter Cable friends say, to buy more air hose than the right gauge extention chord - Ah, such knowledge I'm gaining. Sadly, the compressor arrived with an air intake filter housing badly bent downward (done apparently at the factory, as the box from Amazon wasn't damaged), so I couldn't remove the air filter. AND, the drain valve (to drain water from the bottom of the tank) would not completely close allowing lots of air to excape from the tank. In my chats with an Amazon tool sales rep, and later with a Porter Cable tech rep (to help me unravel the compressor's electrical-needs mysteries), both Companies quickly and nicely insisted on sending me a new air intake filter housing and a new drain valve (I guess I'm getting two of each?) - no questions asked. The machine is fairly loud, but it only takes my pump about 6 seconds to refill the tanks from the 110 psi cut-in pressure to the specified 135 psi cut-out pressure. I figure the noise level goes hand-in-hand with the added power this compressor offers - power I think I need. Suggestions: the manufacturer needs to tighten quality controls inspection of the product prior to boxing & shipping, and the editorial reviewers need to "call a spade a spade" in write-ups on this tool's power needs.

found in FP205299AV's reviews: A great value - It won't spray paint a house or car, but has enough volume to do touch up jobs with a light duty air brush type spray gun. It will power some air drive tools as well, stapler, etc. I paid even less than the Amazon price, but the Amazon price is the best on the web when it includes freeshipping.

found in CPF6025VP's reviews: Last Porter Cable Tool I Purchase - Or, I can ship it to them if I pay the shipping. So, I ended up driving to the nearest town today to buy a new compressor of a different brand. What do I expect you might ask? I expect them to let me take the brand new thing to any near by place that can fix it and have the bill sent to them! I have purchased a lot of Porter Cable tools while building this house but that compressor was the last one!. Some problems, poor service policy, impressive specs - You pay the shipping(not cheap on a 130 pound compressor).
