found in CPLDC2540S's reviews: A great compressor - It takes about 65 seconds to charge from empty and 12 seconds to recharge when in use. I can get about 40 shots from a brad nailer and 10-12 shots from a finish nailer between charges. The handle does make it fairly easy to transport, but it is still heavy so I recommend buying a second hose to reach the work instead of moving the compressor. The motor is quiet in relation to other compressors I've heard. A- compressor except for the regulator - Other compressors did meet these, but what draw me was the oil lube system that permits you to use it on uneven surfaces.5max) to not trip the circuit breakers, filtered intake (not output though) for longer motor life, shrouded motor for airflow from fan and good manual. The only thing I added at the universal coupler end is a water/air filter.
Three year limited warranty Cast-iron cylinder and stainless steel valves for cooler operation
Patent pending oil-lube system with ball bearing design
Direct drive, no belts or adjustments are necessary
2.5 horse power, 4-gallon oil-lube compressor
found in CPLDC2540P's reviews: Design flaws - First one of these I received came out of the box damaged beyond repair. It's a bit loud but not as loud as some of the "oil free" compressors are.

found in CAP2060P's reviews: Very pleased with product - All compressors that put out any volume of air will make noise and each compressor has there on tone of noise.
found in CPFC2TV3520W's reviews: Great compressor! Top Notch! - This compressor comes with a 4-port air regulator, which lets you run 4 tools at once from the compressor. (most cheaper compressors do not even come with a regulator, let alone a 4-port connection)

found in CPLDC2541S's reviews: Takes to much power and is too loud (also flimsy switch) - The guy helping me tripped over the air hose and it caught on the little shutoff lever. I ended up buying a CastAirair compressor. CastAir is not a commercial brand, but the factory where they are made is about 2 miles from my house in Chaska, MN. These compressors were only recently made available to non-commercial applications (previously they specialized in huge compressors used in body shops, etc. I have NO relationship or incentive to recommend CastAir other than I'm a very satisfied customer.

found in C3150's reviews: It's a worker -
I had looked at alot of compressors from emglo (dewalt) and others. I also looked at the specifications as I wanted a compresor that would have fast recovery, and high air presure for driving nails in older existing framing. It only takes about 30 seconds run time to refill the tank from 125 to 150. I wasn't sure I would use this feature, but it is great, as you have your air supply and regulator right where you are working.
Anodized teflon cylinder and teflon/bronze-based piston ring for improved compression and reduced friction Easy to maintain, reusable foam intake filter Dynamically balanced counterweight crankshaft for reduced vibration Durable cast aluminum components for lightweight and fast heat dissipation Specially designed for use in the construction industry
found in MAC2200's reviews: makita mac2200 compressor - top notch tool, it's the best of any of the "small" compressors i have used. i have owned several small , name brand compressors over the last ten years and this is the first one i have really been impressed with.
Kit also comes with a 25-foot airline kit with all fittings and teflon tape 1.5 hp, 5.8-gallon oil-less compressor with wheels for portability 1000 2-1/2-inch finish nails, tool oil, tool carrying case Combo pack includes a 2-1/2-inch 16-gauge finish nailer
found in CPACK200's reviews: Quality for the $ - This is the first Bostitch compressor I have used, and I find it is quieter and smoother than our Porter-Cable and Devilbis compressors of the same horse power and capacity.
Low amp draw at 14.0 Lightweight and power-packed at just 40 lbs. Pump-up time 55 seconds, recovery time 85 seconds 2.5 hp, 2-gallon tank
found in PC2061's reviews: Very Nice little compressor - Most of the bits that would tend to get knocked off during loadind and moving are enclosed in the plastic shrouding around the motor , and the air chuck is sensibly and securly mounted on top so pulling by the air hose shouldn't break it off as has happened with other compressors I've owned . Keeping in mind that it is oil less [which means they use teflon coated rings in stead of an oil bath] I would say it falls in the middle or slightly below for a decible rating of compressors of this type . Only the Thomas industries line of compressors could truly be called quiet from what I've seen. It still uses a 3450 rpm motor to get the air output/low 14 amp draw . Other machines sometimes have 1750 rpm motors which are quieter but pump less air.
