Bostitch CAP2060P reviews (10)
it works for me
I bought it in November of 2002 I didn't use it till about 4 months later. Than I found the regulator wasn't working so I called Stanley and they said to send it to one of their repair shops in my state. It sat there for 1 month waiting for the part to come in. they fixed it (no charge) I have it back now and it's working fine. It came with a 2 1/2 inch nail gun. that works great also. I also use a 3-?? inch porter cable framing nailer with it and i've had no problem driving those nails in. the tank fills up very quick and last a long time between refills.
good
I have worked with this compressor for about a week and before that I was using a 30 gallon 220Volt rig that I have had for years. So,it is light and compact, irratingly noisy when filling but very portable.I like the convenience and the oil-less feature because I do a lot of trim work, like after new homes are sheetrocked,I will hang cabinets, interior doors as well as stairskirts, base, door casing and misc other trim details to complete the home.
Great Value!
I own a small home improvement/remodeling company and have had this for about 5 months now. I mainly wanted it to use with my framing/finish nailers and also for it's size and portability. I have a big 30 gal one in the garage that is not exactly easy to move around due to it's size and weight. I like the fact that this one has an induction motor which is superior to the brush types (as far as duty cycle is concerned). Overall I am glad that I bought it and would highly recommend it!
it's OK, but
Pros: lightweight, relatively quiet, super-inexpensive.

Cons: barely keeps up with my Bostitch NC80 coil framing nailer. Runs almost constantly when framing. It's fine for roofing or finish work but be prepared to work slowly if you're framing and don't even consider using it for 2 people.

Net: I wouldn't buy it again and almost asked Amazon to exchange it.
Works great for me!
This compressor has worked great for me. I like that it is somewhat powerful and also light enough to pick up by hand. I also like the oil-free aspect of it - keeps everything clean.

I use it to run an impact wrench, keep a fleet of cars tires pumped up, and run a diaphragm pump. It has plenty of power for more than that.
bostitch junk
THE FIRST COMPRESSOR I ORDERED CAME WITH A BROKEN CARRY HANDLE.
GUESS WHAT? THE SECOND WAS THE SAME WAY.
QUALITY IS NOT IN THIS PRODUCT.
Handle broke on delivery
I waited impatiently to get this and when it came the hanldle was in the bottom of the box broke, very disappointed, other than that the product looks great, but the handle causes a problem.
Disappointing and noisy
Bought this to replace an old pancake compressor. This Bostitch is very noisy, almost too loud to be inside. Also has very little useable capacity, runs almost constantly on a framer and very frequently on a finish nailer. I used this on one job and am replacing with a Dewalt twin stack. As I have many Bostitch Nailers I was very disappointed with this compressor, the only good thing I can say is that it was fairly inexpensive.
Disappointment
Have been waiting for this item. Delivered today. When I got home I found the box was left upside down, because the bottom of the package had been taped up. When I looked inside, found the handle broken with pieces in the bag. Item looks like it had been repackaged because the staples were open on the bottom and had been taped shut, the top still had the staples in. Will now have to wait for a replacement and another week of waiting or so. Quite possibly they tried pawning one of the other broken handle ones on me based on the other reviews.
Very pleased with product
I would recommend this compressor to any one.It does not pull very many amps so it can be used on a low amp breaker and a long extension card .I am a serviceman and have been using a craftsman dual tank compressor for many years. The bostitch compares to the craftsman.Have read reviews that people has said the bostitch is loud. All compressors that put out any volume of air will make noise and each compressor has there on tone of noise.I can not hear that this compressor is any louder than others. It just has its on tone. You can not go wrong with this compressor for medium use.
